Maltese-Style Intaglio Removable Pendant, Rose Quartz, Apatite and Pearls Choker Necklace - Catania Necklace
When I purchased this intaglio Maltese-styled pendant from my Italian supplier, I really had no particular idea of how this would be made . . . but I loved all of the colors and the design. Fast forward to 2020 and a limited supply of gemstones available to work with, and I was so happy to find I still had a strand of very large rose quartz rondelles, in addition to a handful of lovely teal colored apatite beads. We work with what we have on hand, and much like making dinners now . . . this necklace evolved.
A strand of beautifully softly colored rose quartz rondelles, huge in size and a lovely quality, has been married to stations of little teal/aqua oval apatite beads, flanked by creamy freshwater button pearls. The addition of some graduated stacked spacers, brings out the gold of the stunning removable hinged bail intaglio pendant and the rose and aqua/teal of the necklace, also carries out the colors found in the intaglios. This beautiful choker necklace would look gorgeous worn with a pale pink cashmere sweater and gray slacks/skirt. A beautiful pearl encrusted toggle finishes the necklace and makes the necklace equally as lovely leaving, as entering the room. Just what the Doctor ordered to get through this trying time of ever-increasing infections while we hunker down and work using ZOOM & Face Time for our workday meetings. Sometimes . . necessity is the Mother of invention!
