Aqua Stalactite Slices With Aquamarine Labradorite Clusters - Millie Earrings
Geologically, stalactites are one of the more fascinating formations I use in my jewelry designs. These fingerlike projections grow inside the ceilings of dank, wet and drippy caves and result in a beautiful display of organic crystals. Sliced into thin discs - these stalactites remain a curiosity and object of beauty for me. I fell in love with the aqua color of these stalactite slices at a recent jewelry show, because I though they would be perfect combined with the elegant soft gray and blue flash phenomenon of labradorite.
Aqua colored stalactite slices are crowned with a textural profusion of hand-linked blue flash labradorite and combined with sparkling AB aquamarine. This elegant color combination of aqua and gray is a year round combination that would be just as gorgeous for Summer fashions as Fall/Winter. This delicate cluster of stones is suspended from simple Neoclassical post style gold vermeil earrings.
1.5 inches long X .77 inches wide (at clusters).
