A stunning kiwi green Victorian opaline scent bottle (circa 1880) - embellished with a mesh metal cross-hatch design in gold gilt - has now become the featured pendant of this new necklace design. The original finger loop and chain as well as the cork stopper, remain integral to the design of this charming etui. The kiwi green color of the opaline glass, is not only rare, but in pristine condition. It seems rather remarkable that such a delicate and well loved design has endured in such beautiful condition for well over 100 years.
This remarkable miniature scent bottle has been married to a hand-linked chain of confectionary pink silky baroque freshwater pearls and adorned with delicate filigree peridot connectors stationed along the chain. A collection of amulets has been added to the embossed finger loop of the chatelaine bottle - a filigree puffed heart and Napoleonic Bee in gold vermeil along with a rose quartz briolette and an unusual kite-shaped peridot briolette - completes the charm of this unique and petite fragrance bottle. The gorgeous chatelaine scent bottle can be easily removed to allow the pink pearl necklace to be worn separately.
The beautiful fresh and springtime colors found in this design would be perfect for upcoming spring soirées and summer weddings.
