A beautiful silver English Victorian (c.1897) reticulated pin wheel, encrusted with Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and Pink Topaz - is the focal point of this charming long layering necklace. These unique sewing etui were traditionally used as part of a chatelaine by the lady of the house when mending repairs were needed. This pin wheel may have also been accompanied by a needle case and/or scissors case that would have been worn on the same chatelaine.
Although this antiquity has been converted to a lovely fashion accessory pendant, it still retains it’s original use as a pincushion. A long and delicate chain of turquoise is periodically intercepted with generous pink quartz nuggets, further enhanced with gunmetal crystal rondelles in a mixed metals format. This long layering necklace would be gorgeous mixed with other necklaces found in your jewelry armoire. This delightful necklace would be perfect for any sewing enthusiast.
