Watermelon Tourmaline Slices Flameball & Cultured Pearl Post Earrings - Aleksandra Earrings
In the world of gemstones, there is probably nothing more unique and beautiful than watermelon tourmaline. The delicate and colorful slices are always one-of-a-kind and remarkable. The slices are generally cut with a portion of the pink/red tourmaline and reveal an edge of green that somehow mimics the green rind of a watermelon - thus the name.
These adorable and delicate duster earrings are long on style, but short on weight. A series of two organic watermelon tourmaline slices have been edged with gold vermeil bezels and linked together while culminating with anther organic idea - the flameball (nucleated) pearl. All has been suspended from smooth and creamy pearl post style earrings which seem to be a contradictory idea to the more organic tourmaline and baroque pearls found in the design.
2.25 inches long X .38 inches wide at the flameball pearl.
